Promoting FIG Working Week 2024 in China

CHINTERGEO, China Surveying and Mapping Geospatial Information
Technology Equipment Exhibition, is a very influential platform for
surveying and mapping geospatial information technology equipment
exchange in China and the Asia-Pacific region. CHINTERGEO is also a
UFI-certified international exhibition by the Global Exhibition Industry
Association. After more than 20 years of development, the
specialization, the exhibition has been recognized as the role of the
industry weather indicator in the field of surveying mapping geospatial
information, which plays an important role in promoting technological
progress and industry development.
CHINTERGEO 2023 was successfully held in Guangzhou, China from 27th
to 29th November 2023. The exhibition area reached 20,000 square meters,
attracting more than 200 well-known brands in the field of surveying,
mapping and geospatial information technology equipment, and buyers from
more than 30 countries and regions came to visit. At the same time,
there are five sessions on geospatial information technologies and
applications held during the exhibition.
The organizing committee of FIG Working Week 2024 was invited to
participate in the exhibition. Winnie Shiu,FIG vice president, Stephen
Djaba,vice president of LiSAG and Conference Director of FIG Working
Week 2024, and Hans Ni, FIG Corporate Member and CEO of Beijing iSpatial
Co., Ltd attended the exhibition and other related activities.
Through the exhibition, FIG Working Week 2024 has attracted many
Chinese surveying, mapping and geospatial information equipment related
enterprises to participate. The organizing committee of FIG Working Week
2024 will provide better service for Chinese exhibitors including
organizing training course or setting-up connections to local societies
just after the event in Ghana.
Visit to Deqing Geospatial Information Town
Just after CHINTERGEO 2023, Stephen Djaba and Hans Ni traveled to
Deqing Geospatial Information Town, China and had an in-depth exchange
and fruitful meeting with the director of UN-GGKIC, United Nations
Global Geospatial Knowledge and Innovation Centre, a newly established
UN office there. During Stephen’s stay in Deqing, he also visited
relevant organizations, had full exchanges and reached cooperative MoUs.
