Responsibilities of Council Members 2015-2018
The individual responsibilities of the members
of the Council for 2015-2016 as follows:
President Chryssy Potsiou
Provide the professional and
strategic leadership. Take appropriate initiatives to ensure that FIG
achieves its principal objectives. Supervise the implementation of the
FIG statues and the work plan objectives. Clarify and communicate the
vision. Promote FIG to external agencies and ensure the cooperation with
those (UNGGIM, FAO, UNHABITAT/GLTN, UNECE, UNEP, UNDP, UNOOSA, UNECA,
UNRCC, ECOSOC, PCIDEA, the World Bank, etc). Recommend and ensure the
appointment of Task Forces to undertake specific tasks which are not
within the commissions Work Plans or to assist the work of the Council.
Cooperate and supervise the work of the Task Forces, Networks and
Permanent Institutions, and contribute specifically to the Task Force on
Real Property Market. Communicate with FIG members. Submit a report to
GA. Have the general responsibility and work closely with the Vice
President responsible for the FIG Office and financial issues, and with
the other Vice Presidents and their responsibilities.
Vice President Pengfei Cheng
Responsible for the Young Surveyors Network, for the Academic Forum, for
the FIG Foundation and for the Directors General Forum and ensure their
good performance and report to the GA. Cooperate with the FIG Office, VP
Rudolf Staiger and the Young Surveyors Network in developing and
improving FIG communication through related social media. Co-operate
with the Task Force for investigating the need for a peer reviewed
journal and with the Task Force on Corporate members. Report to the GA.
Cooperate with international sister associations in support of the
President (UNGGIM, FAO, UNHABITAT/GLTN, UNECE, UNEP, UNDP, UNOOSA,
UNECA, UNRCC, ECOSOC, PCIDEA, the World Bank, etc, and especially with
Asian regional associations).
Vice President Diane Dumashie
Responsible for ACCO and
FIG Commisions. Co-Chair ACCO together with the ACCO rep. Help the
commission chairs to develop their plans, support (with the support of
the Office) that they understand and implement their tasks for the WWs
and Congress, and that they deliver high quality technical programmes
and liaise as required between commission chairs. Chair and coordinate
of the FIG Regional Capacity Development Network and report to GA.
Cooperate/attend the Task Force on Commissions and the Task Force on
Corporate members. Cooperate with international sister associations in
support of the President (UNGGIM, FAO, UNHABITAT/GLTN, UNECE, UNEP,
UNDP, UNOOSA, UNECA, UNRCC, ECOSOC, PCIDEA, the World Bank, etc,
specifically GLTN/UNHABITAT).
Vice President Bruno Razza
Cooperate with the Young
Surveyors Network (and FIG Commissions-if needed) on organizing focused
workshops on capacity development. FIG ambassador to Regional and sister
Professional Associations e.g., CLGE, EGoS, the Arab Union of Surveyors,
Fédération des Géomètres Francophones, FGF and the
Mediterranean Union of Surveyors. Cooperate with international sister
associations in support of the President (UNGGIM, FAO, UNHABITAT/GLTN,
UNECE, UNEP, UNDP, UNOOSA, UNECA, UNRCC, ECOSOC, PCIDEA, the World Bank,
etc).
Vice President Rudolf Staiger
Responsible to update the financial strategy and
for its implementation according to the guidelines by the Council.
Advice the FIG Office and the President on financial issues. Report to
the GA. Develop a fundraising policy. Cooperate with the FIG Office, VP
Pengfei Cheng and the Young Surveyors Network in developing and
improving FIG communication through related social media. Communicate
with member associations on membership matters. Cooperate with the
President on various tasks as appropriate e.g., agreements with
conference and WW organizers. Cooperate/attend the Task Force on
Commissions and the Task Force on Corporate members. Cooperate with
international sister associations in support of the President (UNGGIM,
FAO, UNHABITAT/GLTN, UNECE, UNEP, UNDP, UNOOSA, UNECA, UNRCC, ECOSOC,
PCIDEA, the World Bank, etc).
