Invitation to FIG General Assembly and Congress 2026

January 2026

The General Assembly 2026 will be held on 24 and 29 May 2026 as part of the FIG Congress 2026.

On 24 May you can be updated with what is happening in and around FIG. There will be new member associations to approve, and all new members can receive their certificate by FIG President Diane Dumashie. She will deliver her report on the main FIG activties, too, and there will be reports from Commissions, Networks and Task Forces.

A main part of the general assembly will be elections. In a Congress year the new President for the term 2027-2030 will be elected as well as two (out of four) Vice Presidents. Further, there will be election for the host and destination for FIG Congress 2030 and the Chairs Elects that were elected in 2025 will be officially elected chairs for the term 2027-2030.

The agenda with all attachments will be sent out to members late March/early April.
