Abstract

Education is not fulfilled until the theoretical concepts learned in the classroom are applied. A way to accelerate this process is the implementation of a field trip in the curriculum, thus an outdoor experience in contact with the environment. For this study a survey at the end of the Geomatics course was used to collect the opinions of the students. Study results were analyzed using a content analysis procedure. Results from this research back findings from other studies in relation to the importance and advantages of field trips for engineering subjects. This research analyze results of field trips using pre and post technical evaluations.
