FIG Newsletter – June/July 2022 |
Dear Colleague,
The editorial of GIM Magazine describes the upcoming Congress much better
than we can: "From
11-15 September, the surveying world will gather in Warsaw, Poland, where
FIG and the Polish Surveyors are organizing the 27th FIG Congress. Surveyors
from all over the globe will finally be able to meet one another again in
person after having only seen each other ‘on screen’ for the past couple of
years. Therefore, it will undoubtedly be a festive celebration of the
surveying profession! And FIG has always stood up for this profession,
looking out for its interests to the best of the association’s ability."
GIM Magazine also brings an interview with the three President Candidates, Abbas
Rajabifard, Diane Dumashie and Orhan Ercan. This interview is one way of getting to
know the candidates better. You can also dive into video presentations of
all candidates for President and Vice President.
This month in the "FIG and the SDG's" series we have come to the Africa Regional Network. Also please check our corporate member of the month. Is your company going to be one of the next FIG Corporate members of the month?
Read more in this issue of FIG Newsletter of what to expect from the Congress and General Assembly, and we hope to see you in a couple of months in Warsaw, Poland!
We are facing a very exciting General Assembly in 2022 with
elections for President and two Vice Presidents. 2022 also marks the
final year of the current Council and Commissions. There will
be one online session on 4 September 2022 which is
one week before the FIG Congress and two on-site sessions
during the Congress - on 11 and 15 September.
When the General Assembly agenda is ready it will be published on
the web site and sent
by email to all members.

4-2022 you will find an article with questions to the three President
candidates. We encourage you to read/download the latest issue - and please do not
