Dear Colleague,
We are doing it... prepare to meet again in person with the FIG Community for the FIG Congress 2022 in the beautiful capital of Poland, Warsaw. The large FIG Congress will mark the final year of the current President and leadership of FIG. At the General Assembly a new President and two new Vice Presidents will be elected. In this newsletter you will find the call for nominations. Now is the time for you to engage in FIG, but are you in doubt, you are welcome to ask one of the new appointed members of the Engagement Committee. In this newsletter you will also find a new initiative from FIG that has been set in motion to give all Corporate Members the opportunity to increase the attention to their corporation through FIG. Check who is the first "Corpoate Member of the Month". Will you be one of the next to come?
Now is the time to influence the development of FIG… Please consider potential qualified and good candidates for any of these positions. The positions are volunteer but are high prestigious positions with a large responsibility and commitment. Nominations must be submitted and supported by the national member association. In doubt? At the FIG e-Working Week 2021, a panel of land and property leaders opened a conversation on equality Diversity and Inclusion which resulted in an action oriented statement, comprised by FIG Vice President Diane Dumashie, for FIG members to improve D&I in our professional working practices and organisations. FIG Commission 7 held its 2021 Annual Meeting on 23 September. For the second year, running the meeting was a fully online activity with 70 participants logging in from around the globe. Read more The session rounded out with a brief brainstorming discussion – and also an invitation to take part in a questionnaire to help form the directions of Commission 7 in the coming term. A new initiative from FIG has been set in motion to give all Corporate Members the opportunity to increase the attention to their corporation through FIG. The initiative is called ‘Corporate Member of the Month' and will be based on information send by you to FIG on initiatives from your establishment e.g., innovative portfolio, profile, or just inspiring initiatives etc. Do you have any news you want to share?
