This article has passed the FIG peer review and was presented at the FIG Congress 2018 in Istanbul, Turkey. This paper attempts to develop an alternative holistic approach to a methodology for the economic valuation of the ecosystem goods and services of wetlands.
The FIG Working Week will be the major event in 2019 in the global community of surveying and geospatial professionals. It is organised by FIG - International Federation of Surveyors and VGCR - Vietnam Association of Geodesy, Cartography and Remote Sensing. The main objective of the FIG Working Week is to bring together experts from academia, governments/public administration and industry to report on recent developments, trends and research results.
he theme of the conference is Geospatial information for a smarter life and environmental resilience. Focus will be on tackling the climate changes by working towards a smarter life both through the development of smart cities and also in rural areas. Spatial information, big data, surveying, BIM, land administration and much more are essential factors in this development.
Are you interested in presenting at FIG Working Week? Do you have an inspiring story to tell and interesting findings to showcase? Please check the Call for Papers.
Please note the deadlines: 1 November (abstracts, regular papers) and 1 October (full paper, peer review)

2018 marks the 250th anniversary of the Danish Surveying
Profession. In 1768, the Danish King Christian VII appointed the
first two Danish surveyors. This means that surveying
is one of the oldest recognised professions in Denmark. The Association of Danish Surveyors,
DDL, together with Aalborg University that educates surveyors in
Denmark and the Danish Geodata Agency had invited to a day of
celebration at Aalborg University. |
