President Stig Enemark attends the First Conference of the Federation of French-speaking Surveyors (Fédération des Géomètres Francophones)Prague, Czech Republic, 8-9 October 2009
President Stig Enemark attended the First Conference of the Federation of French-speaking Surveyors (Fédération des Géomètres Francophones) - FGF in Prague, Czech Republic 8-9 October 2009 just prior the FIG Regional Conference. Representatives from ten countries were represented. The meeting discussion focussed on land problems in the attending countries, particularly in Africa, as well as problems related to the organization of the surveying profession (géomètre-expert). President Stig Enemark made a keynote presentation and participated in the discussions including the future co-operation between FIG and FGF. During the Conference also the second General Assembly of FGF was held. At the meeting President Alain Gaudet left his presidency and the new Council was elected. The new President is François Mazuyer from France (First Vice President of OGE, France). Aziz Hilali from ONIGT, Morocco continues as the Vice President and Francis Gäbele from Belgium was appointed as FIG liaison person. It was agreed that FIG and FGF will organise some joint session in French during the FIG Congress in Sydney in April 2010. Read more:
