| The Steering Committee of the Habitat Professionals Forum (www.habitatforum.org)
met at the headquarters of the International Federation of Housing and
Planning (IFHP) in the Hague, April 2-3, 2004. The main topic of this
meeting was to decide on the contributions of the Forum to the 2nd World
Urban Forum to take place in Barcelona September 13-17, 2004.
It was agreed to have a half-day parallel event on the City Financing
with four eminent international experts. In addition to the podium
discussion between experts from different continents a lot of time will
be reserved for comments and discussion between the audience. This
Network Event called The Challenges of City Financing organised by the
Habitat Professionals Forum will take place 15 September 2004 between
14:30 and 17:00.
It was also agreed that Prof. Holger Magel, FIG President,
will take over the chairmanship of the HFP from Dr. Irene Wiese - von
Ofen. The handover will take place in Barcelona. |
