experience between surveyors
To publicise the work of surveyors to the public, particularly young
people, governments and non-governmental organisations and enhance their
perception of the value of surveyors and the services that they provide
To co-operate and work with fellow surveyors in all branches and groupings
of the profession to advance the objectives of FIG.
General
An extensive paper setting out an Agenda for the future work and direction of
Commission 10 was published in November 2005. This paper was circulated to FIG
council members and other Commissions (Chairs and Chairs elect) as well as the
named delegates of those Member Associations nominating a representative to
Commission 10. It was also published in the FIG Newsletter and placed on the
website. Very little response has been received. Therefore this Work Plan is
tentative pending the Congress and Working Week in Munich, when further efforts
will be made to secure active participation in Commission 10’s work; It is hoped
to secure the active participation of more Member Associations than have
committed to date. The remit of the proposed three Working groups has been
written wide so as to allow them optimum flexibility to encourage participation.
The work plans will be developed and finalised for presentation at the Working
Week in Hong Kong, May 2007.
Commission 10 is keen to work with other Commissions so as to achieve unity
of purpose in the pursuit of inter-disciplinary interests.

therefore beneficial to the parties.
Co-operation with the United Nations Agencies
Within the limits of its resources, the Commission will work with the UN
Agencies. However it is foreseen that most inputs will be through cross
Commission participation.
